ACME Solar Expands BESS Capacity to 3.62 GWh; Restoration Completed at Pokhran
ACME Solar Holdings Ltd. announced the commissioning of approximately 2.29 GWh of BESS capacity during the current financial year.
The addition increased the company’s total operational BESS capacity to approximately 3.62 GWh across three project sites in Rajasthan.
The company also updated on the Pokhran BESS incident, stating that a localized fire at the Suryodaya BESS facility affected four PCS units due to an electrical short circuit, with no damage to BESS containers, and that restoration has been completed.
The Pokhran BESS incident involved a localized fire at ACME Solar’s Suryodaya BESS facility in Rajasthan, affecting four Power Conversion Systems (PCS) due to an IGBT/short-circuit fault. The company clarified that reports of damage to 13 BESS containers were incorrect, as no BESS containers were damaged. The incident was brought under control, and the affected equipment was restored using spares.
