Adani Energy Secures Transmission Project for Green Energy in Gujarat

In a significant development, Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. has secured a ₹2800 crore project in Gujarat supporting the production of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia in Mundra. This step aligns with India’s push and enlargement for clean energy, adding self reliance in green fuels. The project is expected to be delivered within 36 months.

As a part of the project, Adani Energy will enhance the Navinal [Mundra] electrical substation by adding two 765/400kV transformers and constructing a 75 km long 765kV double- circuit transmission line which will connect to the Bhuj Station. Doing so, a 150cKM of transmission line and 3,000 MVA of transformation will be added.

With this recent win, AESL’S total transmission network now stands at 25,928 cKM, adding a capacity of 87,186 MVA, making it a key player in the power sector and further solidifies the company as India’s Largest Private Power Transmission and Distribution Company. This project will reinforce India’s energy network and will be counted as AESL’s 6th Major Project this financial year, pushing its order book to ₹57, 561 crore. The company’s focus on clean energy solutions, smart metering, and power distribution aligns with India’s achievement of reaching out to carbon neutrality and a sustainable energy future.

As Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia gains prominence in industries of steel, chemicals and transportation, AESL’s latest project aims to contribute towards a steady supply of renewable energy and contributes positively to India’s transition to a greener future.
