NavPrakriti to Partner with 150+ Battery Companies and OEMs Over Three Years
NavPrakriti announced plans to partner with more than 150 battery companies and original equipment manufacturers over the next three years to build a network for collecting, recycling, and refurbishing lithium-ion batteries across India.
The Kolkata-based company has also started operations at Eastern India’s first lithium-ion battery recycling facility, which will support the handling and processing of spent batteries.These initiatives align with India’s Extended Producer Responsibility framework, under which battery producers are required to ensure collection and recycling through authorised recyclers.
Akhilesh Bagaria, Founder, NavPrakriti, said, “Our aim is to set a new benchmark for responsible battery recycling in India, fully aligned with the government’s vision for a circular and self-reliant economy. By partnering with battery manufacturers and OEMs nationwide, we’re not just managing waste, we’re helping to close the loop on critical raw materials, boost India’s clean energy ambitions, and accelerate the country’s EPR journey.”
