Servotech and CIMSME partner to support solar rooftop installations
Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd. (NSE: SERVOTECH) and the Chamber of Indian Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (CIMSME) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote solar energy adoption across India. As part of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the initiative aims to install 100,000 solar rooftop systems in homes by 2026.
A mobile application, developed by CIMSME in collaboration with Servotech, will support this initiative by streamlining the solar adoption process. The app provides homeowners with tools for roof inspection, documentation, installation tracking, system monitoring, and subsidy application assistance.
CIMSME plans to deploy a workforce of approximately 30,000 individuals to support the implementation. Operating on a PIN code basis, these individuals will assist with sales, provide technical support, and oversee installations.
Servotech, registered with 62 DISCOMs across India, will offer solar solutions, including the installation of Solar Photovoltaic Generation Systems (SPGS) ranging from 2kW to 10kW, catering to different household energy requirements. The company will also provide maintenance services to ensure continued system functionality.
Raman Bhatia, Founder and Managing Director of Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd., stated that the collaboration and the mobile application are intended to improve access to solar energy for households. By working with CIMSME, the initiative aims to expand solar adoption and enhance energy accessibility.
Mukesh Mohan Gupta, President of CIMSME, highlighted that this initiative is aligned with national objectives for sustainable development. The project also supports Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals and seeks to expand the reach of renewable energy.
