Servotech wins ₹31 crore order for 1100 solar agriculture pumps under KUSUM C-1 scheme

Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd. (formerly Servotech Power Systems Ltd.), an NSE-listed company specializing in EV charging and solar solutions, has secured an order for approximately 1,100 grid-connected agriculture pumps under the ‘KUSUM Component C-1 Scheme’ from the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Authority (UPNEDA). The project aims to support solar-based farming in Uttar Pradesh and advance India’s solar energy goals.

The order, valued at approximately ₹31 crores, includes the manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected agriculture pumps, along with solar power plants. Servotech will also provide a comprehensive warranty and maintenance for five years. The project includes pumps with capacities of 2 HP, 3 HP, and 5 HP and solar power plants of 3 kW, 4.5 kW, and 7.5 kW, covering a total of 1094 solar pumps across the state.

Sarika Bhatia, Director of Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd., commented, “We are excited to get this order from UPNEDA to support Uttar Pradesh’s green energy initiatives. We understand the difficulties farmers experience when relying on diesel generators and traditional energy sources for irrigation and other agricultural purposes. This provides an opportunity to access clean, sustainable, and cost-effective solar energy solutions, which will help reduce dependency on grid electricity. Solar-powered irrigation and energy systems will lower the operational costs, increase productivity, and ultimately contribute to the prosperity of rural communities. This partnership not only enhances the energy security but also aligns with the state’s long-term environmental goals, creating a more sustainable future for farming and agriculture in Uttar Pradesh.”
